Forty youngsters in Catalonia from the fourth year of ESO and the first year of Baccalaureate who have obtained the best grades this year, not only tested out the digital game entreREDes created by Red Eléctrica, but all starred in an enthralling competition between themselves.
The participating students met up in Berga (Barcelona) this last weekend at the encounter of Young Talents promoted by the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and which enables numerous workshops related to science and technology to be conducted.
In this context the selected students, in teams of four, went head-to-head in the entreREDes challenge, the digital game devised by Red Eléctrica de España targeted at students from the second to fourth of ESO which allows them to review their school curriculum in a fun and entertaining way and, at the same time, get to know how the Spanish electricity system works. Both the evaluation given by participating students and the organisation of the event were highly positive.
The closing of this edition of Young Talents was conducted by Luis Pinos, Red Eléctrica’s Delegate in Catalonia, with a talk on how the electricity system functions. He also presented the diplomas to the winners and semi-finalists of the competition.
The entreREDes game can be downloaded free onto any computer or tablet from the Red Eléctrica website http://www.ree.es/es/publicaciones/educacion/entreREDes
