This week, the Councillor for Culture of the Local Council of Andújar (Jaén), María José Bueno, and Red Eléctrica’s Regional Delegate in Andalusia, Miguel González, presented the finalised restoration works on the façade of the ‘Palacio de los Niños de Don Gome’, on which the Company has collaborated with a total contribution of 27,000 euros.

The actions carried out on the façade of the ‘Palacio de los Niños de Don Gome’, which houses the Archeological Museum and the ‘Casa del Alfarero’, have consisted of the cleaning and consolidation of the stonework, which was very affected by the passage of time. As explained by the project director, Macarena Teruel, the cement work that existed in parts of the façade was removed and replaced with a special mortar used for restoration works.

For his part, Miguel González, stated that another collaboration agreement had been signed in 2014 which allowed the restoration of the tower of the same monument. "With this action, Red Eléctrica de España increases its collaboration with the Local Council of Andújar. In this case, we hope that it will serve to encourage cultural activities and that the museum can also be a cultural heritage element that can help improve tourism", added the delegate.
