Red Eléctrica will fund the lighting of a Romanesque church in Palencia

Dedicated to St. Lawrence, this church in Zorita del Páramo was designated a Site of Cultural Interest and a National Historic-Artistic Monument in 1966.

Red Eléctrica’s Regional Manager, Roberto Arranz, and the mayor of Páramo de Boedo (Palencia), Aurel Truta, have signed a collaboration agreement whereby the company will assume responsibility for the installation an ornamental exterior lighting system at the Iglesia de San Lorenzo (St. Lawrence Church), located in the town of Zorita del Páramo.

The exterior lighting system is part of the church restoration process carried out by the Town Hall of Páramo de Boedo. This Palentine Romanesque jewel dates from the late 12th century and was designated a Site of Cultural Interest and a National Historic-Artistic Monument in 1966.

The signing of this agreement is part of Red Eléctrica’s sustainability commitment to develop projects of social and cultural interest in an effort to preserve and enhance cultural heritage.
