The Chairman of Red Eléctrica, José Folgado and the Chairman of Fundación CEI·MAR and Chancellor of the University of Cádiz, Eduardo González, this morning signed a general collaboration agreement with the aim of promoting research in different specialist areas concerning the marine environment.

Both institutions share the goal of promoting scientific and technological research, as well as fostering initiatives that contribute to sustainable development and to promoting progress, culture and social well-being.

This collaboration will continue for a minimum period of five years and will allow for the joint development of marine research projects, especially in environments where Red Eléctrica infrastructure is present.

Fundación CEI·MAR is a public foundation whose main goal is to become a maritime hub around which the bodies and institutions of Andalusia, Southern Portugal and Northern Morocco can gather to explore the sea's potential, and work together on the social, economic and cultural transformation process in their sphere of action.

This protocol is framed within the basic goals of Red Eléctrica that govern its corporate social responsibility policy, including sustainable economic and social development, respect for the environment and promotion of culture and social well-being, with the aim of creating permanent value for society.
