The results of the 16th edition of Merco Empresas y Líderes, which were made public on 14 June, place Red Eléctrica as the company ranked 35th overall among the 100 companies with the best corporate reputation in Spain, up 20 places compared to the 2015 results.
Each year, nearly 1,500 companies are evaluated on their reputation by different key players both in society and in economic markets, in a study conducted across 5 surveys and during which 18 stakeholder groups were consulted.
To conduct this business reputation ranking, about 200 management indicators were analysed and almost 25,800 people were surveyed, among which noteworthy was the participation of 4,168 experts: directors belonging to corporate management teams, economic journalists, professors from the business sector, financial analysts, opinion leaders, NGOs, trade unions, consumer associations, etc.
Merco is the corporate reputation business monitor of reference in Spain and Latin America due to its guarantees of independence and impartiality. The methodology and results of the Merco report are subject to independent assurance in accordance with the ISAE 3000 standard and are made public.
After sixteen editions of Merco in Spain, the business monitor has become a leader both nationally and internationally, with significant recognition within the business world.
