On Friday 30 September, the 'Noite da Industria' gala was held in La Coruna, an event organised by the Official Association of Industrial Engineers of Galicia, in collaboration with the Association of Industrial Engineers of Galicia and sponsored by Red Eléctrica.
The event was attended by the Regional Minister for the Environment and Territorial Planning, Beatriz Mato; the Mayor of La Coruna, Xulio Ferreiro; the Chairman of the Official Association of Industrial Engineers of Galicia, Oriol Sarmiento; the Regional Delegate for Red Eléctrica de España, Carlos González, as well as numerous representatives of the Galician industrial fabric.
Red Eléctrica is one of the companies that has supported the 'Noite da Industria' (‘Night of the Industry’) during which the Galicia Industry Awards were given. Said awards are aimed at acknowledging and rewarding good practices and professional development related to the field of industry among Galician companies or companies conducting their activity in Galicia.
In order to support the presentation of these recognitions, Red Eléctrica’s Regional Delegate, Carlos González, recently signed a collaboration agreement with the Chairman of the Official Association of Industrial Engineers of Galicia, Oriol Sarmiento.
The Galicia Industry Awards have valued the special contribution that people, projects, companies and entities make to the Galician industrial fabric. The awards are divided into five different categories.
The winners were: Biomasa Forestal in the category of Industrial Organisation; Imatia in Innovation; Industrial Recense in Industry 4.0; Ibercisa in Internationalisation, and Javier Bullón and Cándido Hermida in the category of Best professional career linked to Galician industry.
The Official Association of Industrial Engineers of Galicia has among its objectives to promote sustainable industrial development and the compatibility of industries with environmental conservation in the autonomous community of Galicia.
