Red Eléctrica’s Corporate Responsibility Report was ranked 210th in the Annual Report on Annual Reports 2016, recently published by the ReportWatch consultant firm, a study that selects and analyses the top 400 annual reports of more than 1,500 companies from 60 countries. This ranking was two places better than that obtained in the previous edition.

Red Eléctrica’s 2015 Annual Report was also placed third among the eight Spanish companies chosen in the overall ranking and received for the third consecutive year an award for good practices in ‘Corporate Responsibility-Sustainability’; one of the ten noteworthy criteria of the twenty-five on which the selected annual reports are evaluated.

This year’s edition also presents a selection of 100 reports for which it provides a brief analyses of the strengths and weaknesses of these publications. In Red Eléctrica’s Corporate Responsibility Report, the only one selected among the Spanish companies, analysts value the ease of use of the document and its break with the traditional model. They also value the content on company strategy, although they note that the targets used to measure and manage its implementation are only financial.

The Annual Report on Annual Reports recognises the efforts of companies to provide clear, complete and transparent information that is more accessible to all stakeholders, which evidences the Company's commitment to society through the promotion of a shared value that guarantees the sustainability of the company and the level of confidence in it.

This recognition is one more to be added to those already obtained by the Company in other studies that assess the quality of information provided by companies in this area. Noteworthy is the first position held for nine consecutive years in the report on annual reports of Ibex 35 companies, produced annually by the Spanish Corporate Social Responsibility Observatory. Also, the Dow Jones Sustainability Index, in its 2016 edition, scored Red Eléctrica with 98 points out of 100 in Social Reporting criteria, 26 points more than in the previous year, only 2 points behind the leader.
