Red Eléctrica has signed a new collaboration agreement with the City Council of Andújar, Jaén, that will enable the restoration of the exterior facade of the Palacio de los Niños de Don Gome (Don Gome Children’s Palace). This agreement is part of the policy of engagement that Red Eléctrica undertakes in the areas in which its facilities are located.

In 2014, Red Eléctrica had already signed another collaboration agreement with the Local Council for the restoration of the tower section of the same monument, a manor house of the late sixteenth century, now serving as an Archaeological Museum.

Red Eléctrica’s Delegate in Andalusia, Miguel González, signed this agreement in Andújar with the Mayor of the municipality, Francisco Huerta, and the Councillor for Culture, María José Bueno, as part of the policy of sustainable development of the territory.

According to the Mayor of Andújar, Francisco Huertas, "the restoration of the facade is necessary and thanks to Red Eléctrica, heritage conservation actions like this are possible".
