Red Eléctrica de España and the Dos Hermanas city council have signed an agreement in Seville whereby the municipality will transfer a 13,302-m2 plot to the company in order to build a 220 kV substation in Entrenúcleos.
This new facility aims to reinforce the electricity supply for future real estate developments and those associated with the Universidad Loyola Andalucía.
With a budget of EUR 3.6 million, administrative authorisation from the regional government for the new Dos Hermanas substation has already begun and its commissioning is scheduled for 2020.
Participating in the signing ceremony were Red Eléctrica’s Manager of Southern Regional Office, Miguel González; the Manager of Assets Management Department of the Company, Federico Jiménez; the mayor of Dos Hermanas, Francisco Toscano; and the secretary of the Sevillian city council, Óscar Garu.
