The Company has received the ‘Silver Class’ distinction, from the RobecoSAM sustainability agency. Each year, this entity publishes "The Sustainability Yearbook," which recognises companies with best practices in sustainability at a global level whose results help investors to identify which companies are facing up to the opportunities and risks related to sustainability.

These acknowledgements are directly linked to the results obtained in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes (DJSI). Red Eléctrica scored 90 points in the latest assessment of the RobecoSAM Corporate Sustainability Assessment, being the only company in its sector that ratified its permanence in this index family (European and World DJSI) for the second consecutive year.

Every year, the criteria taken into account when selecting companies to join the yearbook is more demanding. This edition of the Sustainability Yearbook documents the sustainability activity of 2,473 companies from 60 different sectors in 49 countries. The companies receiving this award not only have to be among the 15% of the best in their industry, but also must obtain a score that does not deviate by more than 30% from the leading company. Thus, the companies that enter the yearbook are truly representative of the sustainable leadership of their sector.

This award recognises Red Eléctrica's ability to permanently improve its sustainability performance, one of the Company's strategic keys in all its processes.
