Red Eléctrica Regional Delegate in the Community of Valencia, Maite Vela, has paid a visit to the projects undertaken in three of the towns of Castellón through which the Mezquita-Morella high-voltage electricity line runs. Said projects are part of the agreements signed by the Company with six local councils and by which a total of 78,000 euros has been contributed to carry out initiatives of a social and cultural nature.

In the towns of Todolella and Zorita del Maestrazgo Ms. Vela visited the new outdoor bio-healthy fitness parks for children and for the elderly, and in Forcall she visited the residence of the elderly where new equipment has been installed to heat the facilities which have been enlarged.

Additional projects are currently underway in another three municipalities: in Morella, the Jaume I leisure and sports centre facilities have been enlarged and improved; In Villores, the multi-functional building of the municipality has been renovated, which now has new roof and lighting, and in Palanques, the municipal swimming pool facilities have been refurbished.

These actions are part of the corporate responsibility policy of Red Eléctrica de España, whose goal is to contribute to the sustainable economic and social development as well as to promote progress, culture and social well-being in areas where the Company’s facilities are located with the aim of permanently creating value.
