The Internet portal and mobile app will provide information on the islands’ various species and marine diversity, as well as information on tours, nature parks, protected areas, natural science museums, interpretive centres, and tourist services – all with the goal of helping tourists, hikers, and nature-lovers enjoy the islands’ natural setting and biodiversity.

Red Eléctrica has signed a cooperation agreement to join this on-going three-year UIB project, to which it will contribute more than € 163,000.

The new website and its associated app are part of a pioneering initiative to meet the great demand for information on environmental tourism. The portal, which will also offer access to UIB information and an event agenda, will be available in five languages (Catalan, Spanish, English, German, and Italian), and will be constantly updated.
