Red Eléctrica’s Regional Delegate in the northern zone, Antonio González, and the Mayor of Güeñes, Imanol Zuluaga, today signed the collaboration agreement by which Red Eléctrica de España will sponsor, with 12,000 euros, the twelfth edition of the Ekokultura Fair which is organised annually by the city council of Güeñes (Vizcaya).
The fair, to be held on June 12, aims to raise awareness on the basic principles of respect and conservation of the environment that can contribute to a more sustainable world.
During the day of the twelfth edition of EkoKultura, numerous activities will be carried out with the goal of getting citizens involved in the promotion of natural products, the use of renewable energy, bioconstruction, and the responsible consumption. Additionally, various workshops will be organised, noteworthy among which is that of a vertical organic garden aimed at children.
In addition, the Fair will have 40 exhibition stands in which activities will be presented regarding different areas: food and nutrition, environmental education, health, natural cosmetics, art and creativity, fair trade, means of transport and ecotourism. There will also be mushroom tasting, and environmentally friendly light bulbs and recycling bins will be distributed, among other activities.
